Publishers please note, if you have issues with CNAME please contact your host provider, many will provide detailed assistance if not set it up for you.

First, create a CNAME with your hosting provider.  The specific directions vary from provider to provider, but the following is an overview of the typical CNAME creation process:

  1. Log in to your account on your hosting service's website, and go to the DNS management page.
  2. Since CNAME records are special Domain Name Service (DNS) records, they may be in sections such as DNS Management or Name Server Management. It's possible that you will have to enable advanced settings to create a CNAME record.
  3. Use the information in the following table when you create your CNAME record:
  4. Click Save.

Next, configure Job-a-matic for your CNAME:

  1. Log-in to your jobamatic.com account.
  2. Click on the Configuration tab.
  3. Under Name & Pricing find the field that labeled Domain Name.
  4. Enter your CNAME (for example, www.yourjobsite.com) and click Save Changes.
