Why aren't any jobs displaying on my site?

This likely has to do with how you configured your backfill. There is a simple solution to this issue and you can have your new Job-a-matic job board up and running in a matter of minutes.

Login to your account and go to the Configuration Tab--> Backfill.

The most common errors are what a publisher writes in the location and keyword fields when they register. Below are some different scenarios with solutions:

  1. If you typed US or USA in the location field, please delete it. Our backfill defaults to US if the field is left blank, so typing in US or USA confuses our system.
  2. If you typed any international country such as India, Asia, Australia, Canada, this too confuses our system. Why? Because we only backfill US jobs and it doesn't recognize other countries you should delete the country you added and leave the field blank.
  3. If you left both the location and keyword fields blank, this will cause no jobs to appear. You need to tell our system what you want it to backfill (and by the way, the more niche the better). If you tell it nothing, it gives you nothing. You need to have at least one of the these fields filled in.
  4. Sometimes publishers get a little creative with keywords. If you typed a legitimate US city, state or zip and typed some keywords in and there are still no jobs displaying, the problem could be what keywords you added. We're a job search engine, so make sure your keywords are relevant to job content.
  5. Check that you have the "Always show Backfill" option on with a figure (such as 25) in the 'display ____ jobs per page'.
  6. Another common error which will prevent jobs from showing is including a domain name prior to changing your CNAME. Unless you have changed your CNAME to use your own domain name, the 'Domain Name' box under configuration -> Name & Pricing should be blank.
