SimplyHired cannot guarantee that applicants will respond when you contact them or that applicants are still available for employment at that time. The best way to minimize the risk of applicants not responding or no longer being available is to act quickly!
Following is a list of the most effective things you can do to make it more likely to receive replies from your contacts:
Review applications as soon as they are submitted.
When you find a qualified applicant, pay to reveal their contact information and contact them promptly. There’s a good chance that the applicant responded to more job listings than just yours, so try to be among the first to respond.
You may need to use more than one form of communication when contacting an applicant, such as both email and a phone call. Be prepared to follow up with additional emails or phone calls if necessary.

Develop a checklist of content to include in your email or phone call when contacting job applicants. Examples of things to include are:
Your name and the name of your company.
The role the job posting is for. Job listings on SimplyHired use the role as the listing title, so most job applicants will likely keep track of them that way.
A brief message encouraging them to respond. For example, you could say something like, “So far you seem like a great fit for this position and I hope to hear from you soon.”
Mention something from their application that stood out to you as a way to further encourage them to respond, such as “Your experience with XYZ was especially interesting,” or “It looks like you have excellent XYZ skills, which is definitely one of the things we are looking for.”
End with your contact information, making it as easy for the applicant to respond to you. Provide your email address and a phone number. If you are on the phone and leave your email address, be sure to spell it out.
Remember that the more qualified they are, the more contacts this candidate will receive. When you contact the candidate, make it stand out to increase your chance of a response.
