Schedule and conduct interviews
If your role permits, follow these steps to schedule and conduct an interview with an applicant. Depending on your role, you can also leave interview feedback, view the feedback left by other members of the hiring team, and update your own feedback. You can only schedule interviews with revealed applicants.
To schedule an interview
- From the
Jobs page, click on a job posting to see the Applicants page for that job posting.
- Find and select the applicant. See Search for a revealed applicant.
- Select the Interview stage from the dropdown list to move the applicant to the Interview stage.
- Select the Interviews tab for the applicant, and then select Schedule Interview.
On the Schedule Interview form, make selections to schedule the interview:
- Click in the Participants field to select members of the hiring team who will participate in this interview.
- Type the location for the interview, or "Remote" if the interview will be held remotely.
- Select the date, start time, end time, and time zone for the interview.
Type a message to the applicant. Use the formatting bar to format the text as desired.
If you are conducting the interview via a conferencing app, you can paste the meeting link into the message area.
When ready, select Send.
An email with a Confirm link will be sent to the applicant as well as to all participants in the interview.
To conduct an interview
- From the
Jobs page, click on a job posting to see the Applicants page for that job posting.
- Find and select the applicant. See Search for a revealed applicant.
Select the Interviews tab for the applicant, and then select Start Interview.
After the scheduled interview time, the Start Interview button changes to Leave Feedback so that you can still leave feedback for the applicant even after the interview has finished.
Type your SimplyHired account credentials and select Start to log in.
The Interview with <applicant> page is displayed in a new browser tab.
- Type your feedback and notes from the interview.
- Select your overall recommendation, for example, Strong Yes.
- When ready, select Submit Scorecard. Close the browser tab.
To leave interview feedback after the interview
- From the
Jobs page, click on a job posting to see the Applicants page for that job posting.
- Find and select the applicant. See Search for a revealed applicant.
- Select the Interviews tab for the applicant, and then select Leave Feedback.
Type your SimplyHired account credentials and select Start to log in.
The Interview with <applicant> page is displayed in a new browser tab.
- Type your feedback and notes from the interview.
- Select your overall recommendation, for example, Strong Yes.
- When ready, select Submit Scorecard. Close the browser tab.
To review interview feedback left by others on the hiring team
- From the
Jobs page, click on a job posting to see the Applicants page for that job posting.
- Find and select the applicant. See Search for a revealed applicant.
Select the Interviews tab for the applicant.
Feedback submitted by members of the hiring team is listed under each interview.
- Click or tap anywhere on an interview feedback line to open that section.
- Select View Full Feedback to view the complete feedback in a new browser tab.
- When done viewing the feedback, close the browser tab.
To update your feedback for an applicant
- From the
Jobs page, click on a job posting to see the Applicants page for that job posting.
- Find and select the applicant. See Search for a revealed applicant.
Select the Interviews tab for the applicant.
Feedback submitted by members of the hiring team is listed under each interview.
- Find your own feedback, and click or tap anywhere on your interview feedback line to open the section.
- Select View Full Feedback to view the your feedback in a new browser tab.
- Make changes to your feedback as desired.
- When ready, select Submit Scorecard. Close the browser tab.
