Why do I need to verify my account?

At SimplyHired our top priority is avoiding fraud and maintaining a safe environment for job seekers to search for their next job. Creating a safe job search experience is beneficial to job seekers and employers, so we ask for proof of identification to ensure quality and reliability on the SimplyHired platform.

In order to verify your account, we may request a scan or image of one or more of the following business documents:

  • Utility bill that includes your business's name and current address. This includes water/sewer bill, trash/recycling bill, energy/electricity bill, gas bill, or phone bill.
  • Business license that includes your company’s name and verifiable company address or a related/parent company where the relationship is verifiable.
  • Tax permit that includes your company’s name and verifiable company address or a related/parent company where the relationship is verifiable.

Please note, publicly available, handwritten, or editable versions of documents cannot be used to verify your account. Once we receive a valid document, the review process will resume.
